Lunario del Auditorio Nacional
Mexico City, MX
28 January 2015
Late last year, Klaxons announced that their last confirmed shows between October 2014 and January 2015 would be their last headlining tour. Does this mean that the band is over? Will we never see them live again? I don’t know, but after missing them here in 2007 I knew I had to go and it turned out to be a really great show. With 20 songs on the setlist, the band delivered all the hits and a few rarities. The band finished their tour with a couple of dates in Mexico City and one final gig in Guadalajara. These are photos from their first show in Mexico City.
The Lunario is a 1000 capacity venue, ideal for small and intimate shows, with a stage that is really close to the fans and specially, photographers. We are really close to the action and sometimes, using a 24mm is already too close. Also, with a good light engineer we get decent lighting, which was the case for this show. Lights were mostly blue or yellow with a few reds and a couple of LED strips at the edge of the stage.
The gear I used for this show: Sony α99, 24-70mm f/2.8, 70-200mm f/2.8
